BIKING TOURS 

Joys of Biking Nevis StyleJoys of Biking Nevis Style

Duration: 2 hours

This tour captures the quintessential beauty of Nevis in a leisurely ride. Travelling through charming villages such as Newcastle, Pot works Estate and Camps. Must see locations include historical Nisbet Plantation Beach Club, home of Frances Nisbet (wife of Lord Horatio Nelson), Cottle Church on Round Hill Estate.

This tour incorporates paved roads and single and double off road trails; a climbing gradient of between 3 – 5 percent. It is ideally suited for all level of riders.

Included: Guided Tour, Bike, Helmet, Water, and Refreshments during or after tour.

Cost: $75USD per person.

 

Windwardside Discovery Bike TourWindwardside Discovery Bike Tour

Duration: 2 1/2 hours

With stops at a haunted estate and the last operating sugar plantation in Nevis; this tour takes avid cyclists on a journey of discovery through the parish of St. James.

You will travel through areas such as Newcastle Village, Barnaby via the island’s main road, off road along the historic Upper Road trail, Eden Browne Estate and New River / Coconut Walk. This tour incorporates 60 percent paved roads and 40 percent single and double off-road trails. The average
climbing gradient is between 2 – 5 percent. This tour is ideal for intermediate and advance riders.

    Included: Guided Tour, Bike, Helmet, Water, and Refreshments during or after tour.

    Cost: $85USD per person.

Duration: 3 – 3 1/2 hours

If cycling is your passion and are you looking for the ultimate biking challenge then we have the tour for you. The Peak of Biking cycling  adventure offers a full Nevis island tour experience  via mountain biking. Designed for intermediate and experienced cyclists only, and take you all the way around our beautiful 36 square mile destination.

Your tour will take you through charming villages such as New Castle, Camps, Butlers and Gingerland, Brown Hill and Long Point. Historical plantations such as Golden Rock, Garners Estate, and Eden Browne to name a few.

  This round the island adventure also travels through Charlestown the historical capital of Nevis before    returning to the start point in Newcastle.  

Included: Guided Tour, Bike, Helmet, Water, and refreshments during or after the tour.

 Cost: $95USD per person 

IMPORTANT BIKING TOUR INFORMATION:

  • (All bike tours leave from Newcastle Village unless pre-arranged)
  • Tours depart at 9am and 1pm daily (tours can be tailored as needed)
  • All routes are subject to change at discretion of guide.
  • **Off road locations will be away from the main road, may be rocky, partially paved, single or
    double tracks.
  • Loose comfortable clothing, closed up footwear and sunscreen are recommended. 
  • Advance bookings preferred.

 HIKING TOURS 

Nevis Peak hike ‘Up and Down’Nevis Peak Climb ‘Up and Down’

Duration: 4-5 hours

Your climbing adventure begins and ends in the quiet village of Zetlands. This exhilarating adventure takes hikers up to the highest point on Nevis Peak which is 3232ft high.

This tour provides a fantastic opportunity to explore first hand the lush vegetation of our relatively undeveloped rainforest and central peak.  This hike travels up and down the same side of the mountain slope.  While perfect for all levels of climbers, there a few challenging and adventurous sections. There is an abundance of natural vegetation providing a wide canopy and unparalleled views over a wide expanse of the island. Views as far as Rawlins Village, Indian Castle, Saddle Hill, Long Point and Charlestown our Island’s capital. On a clear day neighbouring islands such Montserrat, St. Kitts and Antigua can also be viewed.

  This is perfect for intermediate and experienced of hikers.

Duration: 2 1/2  – 3 hours 

Take a moderately challenging hike along the Russell’s Rest Nature Trail. Your adventure begins at the ruins of the old Russell Plantation in St. James Parish which dates back to the 1650’s. This tour is on the Atlantic side of the island.

Along the route see remnants of Nevis’ rich sugar history and learn about the site’s origin. Walk under the towering trees and thick natural vegetation which combine to create a beautiful and cool rainforest canopy. Your hike also travels along enchanting ravines, water features and the waterfalls flowing from the natural water courses of St. James.  Be ready to snap photos of the breath-taking vistas of the Atlantic Ocean, the diverse flora and     fauna, monkeys, cocoa trees and other of fruit trees.  

This is perfect for all hikers.
